Hi! I’m Teresa! Welcome to my shop, I hope you like what you see!
I began hand sewing when I was 7 years old. My momma taught me how to thread a needle, tie a knot in one end, and sew neat, straight stitches. She taught me how to properly hem, make buttonholes, and iron seams. I began making Barbie doll clothes from worn-out clothing and scraps. My little middle finger was too small to properly wear a thimble, so I pushed the needle through bare bones! Over time a little hole developed in the tip of my finger. As a result, my daddy purchased a sewing machine for me when I turned 9 years old. Imagine my excitement! That was over 40 years ago and I still sew with that first machine, though infrequently.
I’ve always loved creating one-of-a-kind items so I taught myself to knit, hand– embroider, needle point, cross-stitch, and crochet. The majority of items I create today are made with care and love, usually with someone in mind. Many of my goods are custom-made / made-to-order.
While I do prefer perfection, I know that it’s imperfections that’s perfection! I work to make all of my projects “just right.” I will only list items that I am totally happy with, because if I don’t love it how can I expect you to?
I live with my wonderful husband, 3 furry “kiddos”, 1 turtle, and a school of fish. We have one grown son. I love the sound of crunchy leaves, the scent of happy flowers, the sight of the ocean, the smell of good dirt, the glow of colorful rainbows, the warmth of a summer’s day, and the peacefulness of a cloudless night sky.
My degree is in accounting and I currently maintain my CPA license. Although I no longer practice professionally I do volunteer my accounting expertise to the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. Additionally, I volunteer my sewing skills making hospital gowns for ill children as well as time holding sick babies in the NICU.
And that’s a little bit about me! So come on into the shop! If you have a special request, please use my contact form and I will do my best to create that perfect item for you!
I hope you find something you would love to have and enjoy as much as I loved making it.
Thanks for stopping by!
Teresa
